Nick’s practice is concentrated in IPO’s, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, although he also has substantial experience in negotiating joint ventures, financings and fundraisings. Nick is recognised in a number of sectors including recruitment, advertising, PR and e-commerce/technology. Over the past few years, Nick has advised numerous companies in the recruitment market including recruitment advertising companies, executive recruitment companies, executive search companies, outplacement agencies and temporary staffing firms. Recently, Nick advised TMP Worldwide Inc. (now known as Monster Worldwide Inc.) on its acquisition programme. Nick also appears in the UK Leading Experts 2005 Guide and the Legal 500 as an expert in mergers and acquisitions.
Dan Morrison
Dan is a specialist in claimant fraud investigations and recruitment-sector litigation. He is an expert on the law relating to the recovery of stolen confidential information, business data and trade secrets. He has acted on a number of cases for clients whose databases have been stolen or copied for use by former employees or business competitors. He is also expert in obtaining injunctions to restrain use of stolen information and obtaining evidence through the use of civil search orders. He acts regularly for clients seeking to enforce restrictive covenants and confidentiality clauses in their employees' employment contracts. His clients range from public limited to private recruitment companies, both in the UK and overseas. Dan has been a partner of Mishcon de Reya since April 2002 and was cited as a rising star in the Legal 500 2003 edition for his work in the claimant fraud arena. He is ranked as a "leader in his field" by Chambers & Partners. Dan regularly appears as an expert speaker at fraud conferences and has published numerous articles on fraud investigations in the recruitment sector, how to protect against data theft and other related subjects.
Daniel Naftalin
Daniel is an all round employment specialist. He advises companies on their day-to-day employment needs, executives on their arrivals and departures, and litigates regularly in the High Court and Employment Tribunal. He advises many recruitment companies on their employment law requirements from general problems such as working time, tax, and sick pay to more esoteric issues such as restrictive covenant drafting and enforcement and the question of the employment rights acquired by temporary workers. Daniel is a regular speaker on a number of employment law related subjects and has advised the Independent Enquiry on Drug Testing at Work, as well as lecturing on the same subject for the Home Office.

Hugo Plowman
Hugo Plowman specialises in civil fraud having regularly represented clients in cases involving Search and Freezing Orders, Delivery Up and Computer Imaging Injunctions and other asset recovery techniques. He has considerable experience in bringing, defending and resolving substantial commercial disputes through both litigation and mediation and also advises upon the laws relating to covert investigations, data protection, telephone and email monitoring. His most recent cases have involved breach of fiduciary duty claims, derivative actions, shareholder disputes, breaches of confidence, theft and misuse of trade secrets often with multi jurisdictional aspects. Hugo has particular experience of the issues facing those in the recruitment industry and has written various articles on data theft and enforcement of restrictive covenant cases for the main recruitment press.
Jennifer Millins
Jennifer is an assistant solicitor in the Employment department. She advises on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, from holiday pay to discrimination issues, redundancies to working time. Jennifer acts for a number of clients in the recruitment industry and regularly advises on the drafting of employment contracts, including restrictive covenant and confidentiality provisions. She has also been involved in advising recruitment organisations on disputes relating to breaches of post-termination restrictions by ex-employees.
